"Oh Weh" An accolade to the remarkable insights of Albert Einstein. Quotes by Einstein - Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts. Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity, opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions, Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds. The later cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence. When his wife asked him to change clothes to meet the German ambassador, Einstein replied; "They want to see me, here I am. If they want to see my clothes open my closet and show them my suits." The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift. The pursuit of truth and beauty is a sphere of activity in which we are permitted to remain children all our lives. There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once. Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one. Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn ones living at it. I should have been a plumber. |
